Scott Jorgensen's team looking to appeal UFC Fight Night 38 loss

UFC flyweight Scott Jorgensen has lost three fights in a row and two straight since dropping to 125-pounds, but he plans to have his most recent loss to Jussier Formiga at UFC Fight Night 38 overturned.

During the bout, Jorgensen and Formiga appeared to accidentally clash heads, which sent Jorgensen to the mat and allowed Formiga to sink in a fight-ending rear-naked choke.

Whether or not the two actually clashed heads or if Formiga’s head hit Jorgensen in the chest is unclear, but Jorgensen plans to appeal the loss with the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission, according to UFC Tonight’s Ariel Helwani.

Jorgensen feels “absolutely robbed” and has no doubt that the “headbutt” is what knocked him off of his game and allowed Formiga to get the win.
