Well, after the early action on Wednesday night, three of the four slots in New York City are now filled for the 2014 NIT as the Florida State Seminoles were able to barely hold off the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs to advance to the semifinals, joining Clemson and Minnesota.
It wasn’t easy for the Noles in this one to hold off a very well-balanced Louisiana Tech team, but they ended up walking away with the 78-75 victory when the three-pointer at the buzzer from Louisiana Tech went off the rim.

This NIT is usually filled with teams that should have been included in the big dance, and this is the stage where they show they maybe should have been in the field of 68.
Still, even winning the NIT is an accomplishment on the season, and now we just have to await the winner of SMU and Cal to see who the final participant in New York City will be.
