The 6’2, 205-pound Boyle attends Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa.
“I know he feels very comfortable around the players and coaches up there,” Dowling Catholic coach Tom Wilson told Pat Harty of The Iowa City Press-Citizen. “He said it feels like a family.”
Wilson also believes the competition at Iowa doesn’t scare Boyle.
“He’s not afraid of competition and I’m sure the other quarterbacks aren’t afraid of it, either, Wilson said. “He’s just going to roll up his sleeves and get to work.”
Boyle is ranked as the 55th best quarterback prospect, the sixth best overall prospect in the state of Iowa and 1,202nd best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Boyle also had offers from Illinois State, Montana State and Western Michigan.
