NBA Rumors: Golden State Warriors’ Mark Jackson denies wanting out
On Wednesday, a report surfaced that Golden State Warriors’ head coach Mark Jackson was unhappy in the Bay area after supposedly clashing with assistants Michael Malone and Brian Scalabrine over the last two years and wanted a different job, with Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski citing the Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets as potential destinations.
On Wednesday, following the conclusion of practice, Jackson denied the report.
“I’m not going to comment on everything,” Jackson told Monte Poole of CSN Bay Area. “First of all, Mike Malone commented and said that his part was a lie. So there you have that. Second of all, it’s poor reporting by Wojnarowski if you decided and knew this to hold on to it until (Tuesday). That’s blockbuster stuff.
“So, not true. None of it was true. I’m not going to go any further. This is my job and I’m thrilled to death to be the head coach of the Golden State Warriors.”
Jackson’s Warriors will be back in action Friday night when they host the Memphis Grizzlies.
