Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson to attend Sweet 16, cheer for Florida

March Madness gave way to Marshall Madness last year as Ole Miss Rebels guard Marshall Henderson was instrumental in the Rebels winning the SEC Tournament Championsip last year and a first round upset over the five-seeded Wisconsin Badgers.

There was no Marshall Madness this spring as Ole Miss failed to make it to the NCAA tournament, but that won’t stop Henderson from attending tonight’s Sweet 16 matchup between the UCLA Bruins and the SEC champion Florida Gators.

This is what they mean when the SEC talks about conference pride.

It’s a short 85 mile drive for Henderson from Oxford, Mississippi to Memphis, Tennessee where the Gators and Bruins tip off after the Dayton Flyers and Stanford Cardinal finish around 9:30 pm ET and part of me wishes I could sit shotgun with him and sit next to him at tonight’s game.

If you could pick any active college basketball player to take in a game with who would it be?
