Traditionally, Portugal has worn alternate jerseys for international soccer competition that use green and red accents, but Nike has decided to mix things up for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil which takes place in a few months.

The jerseys were unveiled today and they draw inspiration from the five quinas on the nation’s flag. The quinos, or shields, are blue, which is the accent color that Portugal will have around the collar and sleeves of their World Cup away jerseys.

The jersey will be paired with blue shorts and white socks:

The Portugal away kits are a bit plain, but the simple and clean look is something that should look really sharp out on the pitch.
