The UFC confirmed on Thursday that a bantamweight matchup between Roland Delorme (9-2) and undefeated UFC newcomer Michinori Tanaka (9-0) will be taking place at UFC 174 in June. The bout was initially reported by Sportsnet.ca’s “Showdown” Joe Ferraro.
Delorme will be entering the bout coming off of a loss, while Tanaka has yet to lose in his professional career.
It was reported on Wednesday that the UFC is also targeting a welterweight scrap between Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley for the event.
UFC 174 is set to take place on June 14 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The main card will be available on pay-per-view, with preliminary bouts on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
