Earlier today, on (ironically enough) Today, viewers were treated to something incredibly special. They were given their very first look at a teaser for the upcoming trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Up until this point, the information regarding the film has been under strict lock and key. Other than the random casting report, there has been virtually nothing on the film. One could certainly understand this concept given the magnitude of the popularity to of subject matter; however, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t’ fans out there who are just dying for that little something extra.

Fortunately, they no longer have to wait as that little something extra appeared today on Today.

In the sneak peek, we get a look at Megan Fox as April O’Neil, William Fichtner as The Shredder, and some of the heroes in a half shell themselves.

Take a look for yourself. Here is a look at the teaser for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I think it is safe to say that April didn’t know how to respond when she says a giant, martial art-capable green turtle standing in front of her making conversation, as she passes out right in front of Michaelangelo. While the clip is kind of blurry, the action scenes still look pretty cool.

I can tell you in all honesty, I am still not one hundred percent sold on the idea of Megan Fox playing April O’Neil; however, the teaser does give me hope that the film is going to be a lot better than I originally anticipated; however, I of course reserve judgment until we get a look at the full-length trailer.

Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait for that, as it is being reported that the trailer will accompany Captain America: The Winter Soldier into theaters.

The film stars Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Whoopi Goldberg, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, and many more.

What do you think of the little bit we have seen so far? Are you more or less inclined to see the film now that you have seen a small portion of it? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is scheduled to be released on August 8, 2014.
