Oakland Raiders’ free agent defensive tackle Pat Sims did not draw as much attention in free agency as he probably would have liked.

The 28-year old native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (Dillard High School) had interest from the Titans and took a visit to Tennessee, but in the end, nothing came of it.

Instead, Sims has re-signed with the Raiders, according to his agent, Rick Smith, via twitter.

Sims was originally drafted with the 77th overall pick in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. The former Auburn Tiger immediately made an impact, playing in 11 games and starting six as a rookie. He had 36 tackles and on sack. Sims soon became an on and off starter and key contributor for the Bengals for five years before signing with the Raiders just over a year ago.

Last season, Sims started all 16 games, recording 54 tackles and 2.0 sacks for the Raiders.
