NCAA Tournament 2014: Darius Rucker to sing National Anthem at national championship

At the end of this weekend, the Final Four teams in the 2014 NCAA Tournament will be determined. We will then be one step closer to determining the two teams that will be playing in the national championship game in Dallas.

On Friday morning, we learned another bit of information about the national title game when ESPN’s Mike & Mike in the Morning welcomed musician Darius Rucker to the studio to serve as a co-host for the final half of the show.

Rucker, who rose to fame as guitarist and lead singer of  Hootie & the Blowfish before turning to a solo career, will be singing the national anthem for the game.

As an added bonus, Rucker said that he will have a choir in the background to join him for the anthem.

The national title game is always an enjoyable game for college sports fans, but fans of music will also now be in for a treat.
