In 2014 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 action on Friday, the third-seeded Iowa State Cyclones will do battle with the seventh-seeded UConn Huskies in the East Region with the right to advance to the Elite Eight on the line.
Iowa State has been riding the wave of momentum from their Big 12 Tournament championship win all the way to this point by playing the best they’ve played all year, and this is also despite losing Georges Niang to a fractured foot. In the last win over North Carolina, DeAndre Kane showed up in a big way, and he’ll have to keep that up the rest of the way.
UConn also has been playing great basketball as second-year coach Kevin Ollie has them in a familiar position of competing for a national championship. After squeaking by St. Joe’s, they were able to defeat a very good Villanova team to get to this point.
Here’s how you can watch all the action live on Friday.
