Is it me or does it feel like this WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014 seem a bit smaller than last years? Anyways, it was great to see some of my childhood favorites being inducted this year. If you haven’t heard about who was getting inducted, let me get you up to speed.
First up is The Ultimate Warrior, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, Lita, Paul Bearer, Carlos Colon, Mr. T and Razor Ramon. This years lone Diva inductee opened the door for athletic women who were looking to become professional wrestlers. She’s been known to mix it up with the rest of the guys and even put her own body on the line just like Matt and Jeff Hardy.
Lita will be inducted by her best friend Trish Stratus, who was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Before I move on, I expected either Victoria or Ivory to be inducted next year.
Amy Dumas aka Lita recently sat down for an interview with Mike Jones from DC101 (no, not the rapper) in Washington, D.C. to discuss what it took for females to get into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Here’s what Lita had to say:
“It’s not about titles, it’s just more about impact and thing that you’ve done to shape how we’re viewed going forward are things that women that are aspiring to wrestle or make an impact in the business, kind of just things to look at or keep in mind.”
