Pittsburgh Penguins clinch playoff berth

The Pittsburgh Penguins were able to travel to Ohio on Friday night to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 2-1 at Nationwide Arena, which was enough to send the team soaring into the Stanley Cup Playoffs for yet another year.

In recent weeks, the Penguins have been dealing with a handful of injuries that have caused them to hit a bit of a slump, but anything is possible once you make it to the postseason.

While the team will be without star Evgeni Malkin, they still have the services of Sidney Crosby, who is one of the best players in the game.

For the Blue Jackets, they remain in the cluster of four teams in the Eastern Conference who are attempting to emerge as the two Wild Card teams in the postseason.
