UFC veteran Matt Riddle has not lost since 2011, but he was released from the promotion last year after failed tests for marijuana in two of his last three fights inside of the octagon. Shortly after being released, Riddle said he would be retiring but he ultimately signed with Titan Fighting Championship.
Since joining Titan FC, Riddle is 1-0 and now he will be fighting for a title.
The promotion recently announced that Riddle will be facing Brazilian mixed martial arts legend Jose “Pele” Landi-Jons for the welterweight title at Titan FC 29.
If you don’t know who Landi-Jons is, he was a member of the legendary Chute Boxe camp and a man who was able to beat the likes of Matt Hughes, Pat Miletich and two wins over current Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko.
There is no word on an official date for the bout, but it is expected to take place in late May or June.
