Updated 2014 NCAA Women's Tournament bracket: Notre Dame advances to Elite 8 to face Baylor

After Saturday’s action, we now know which two teams will face off on Monday in the final of the Notre Dame Region. To really not many’s surprise, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Baylor Bears will square off for the right to move on to the Final Four and keep their national championship hopes alive.

In the first game on Saturday, the Baylor Bears easily defeated the Kentucky Wildcats, even with their star getting off to a rather slow start. Odyssey Sims missed her first six shots, but then she turned it on from there, dropping in 25 points and adding in seven assists with three rebounds.

Notre Dame was dominant in the second game of the day, which was expected coming in. This Irish team is said by many to be the biggest threat to the UConn Huskies, and they showed that with a dominant win over Oklahoma State to advance.
