World Figure Skating Championship 2014, ladies free skate live stream: Watch online

Mao Asada was able to bounce back from a disappointing performance in the Sochi Winter Olympics on Thursday to take the lead at the 2014 World Figure Skating Championships with her short program in the ladies competition.

Asada will now be able to win the world title with a strong performance on Saturday, but she has tough competition from the only Sochi medalist competing this week in Japan, Italy’s Carolina Kostner.

Still in striking distance of the podium are Russian sensation Yulia Lipnitskaya, Asada’s countrywoman Akiko Suzuki and Gracie Gold of the United States.
