The Utah Utes added their fourth commit in the class of 2015 on Sunday when 3-star offensive guard/offensive tackle Jake Grant gave his pledge to the Utes.
“Their game-day experience was like nothing I’ve seen before,” Grant told Richard Obert of AzCentral.com. “I’m excited about being a Ute.”
Grant was also excited with the attention the Utes have given him throughout the recruiting process.
“You can’t do much better than what they did for me,” Grant said. “They’re really committed there. Alex Smith just donated a half a million dollars. I feel we’ll be able to contend for a Pac-12 South championship when I’m there.”
The 6’4, 279-pound attends Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Grant was very interested in in the two in-state schools, the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils, as well as the Arkansas Razorbacks and California Golden Bears, but so far, the Utes are the only team to offer.
Grant is ranked as the 32nd best offensive guard prospect, the 11th best overall prospect in the state of Arizona and the 560th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
