The Georgia Yellow Jackets found their quarterback in the class of 2015.
On Saturday, 3-star athlete Jaylend Ratliffe gave his pledge to the Yellow Jackets.
“I want to win a championship,” Ratliffe told Ryan Bartow of 24/7 Sports.com. “I want to make money. I want to be a Yellow Jacket.”
The 6’1, 195-pound Ratliffe attends Scotland County High School in Laurinburg, North Carolina.
The Yellow Jackets sold Ratliffe on being a quarterback in their triple option offense whereas most of the other schools like Ratliffe as an athlete.
Ratliffe is listed as an athlete by most of the major recruiting services as well. He is ranked as the 76th best athlete prospect, the 28th best overall athlete in the state of North Carolina and the 776th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Ratliff chose the Yellow Jackets over offers from the North Carolina Tar Heels, North Carolina State Wolfpack and Wofford Terriers.
He becomes the third commitment for the Yellow Jackets in the class of 2015, joining 3-star guard Will Bryan and 3-star safety A.J. Gray.
