3-star WR Jalen Guyton commits to Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Although they missed out on 4-star inside linebacker Josh Barajas, who chose the Penn State Nittany Lions over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, it has been a nice couple of days for the Irish.

On Thursday, 3-star safety Prentice McKinney committed to the Irish.

On Sunday, 3-star wide receiver Jalen Guyton gave his pledge to the Irish.

The 6’0, 180-pound Guyton took a visit to South Bend last week and loved what he saw.

“I went up there a week ago and it was everything that I thought it would be and more,” Guyton told Tom Loy of 24/7 Sports. “It was a great campus and a perfect fit. It feels good to be Irish.”

Guy attends Allen High School in Allen, Texas.

Guyton is ranked as the 68th best wide receiver prospect, the 68th best overall prospect in the state of Texas and the 573rd best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Guyton chose the Irish over offers from the Arizona State Sun Devils, Baylor Bears and Clemson Tigers, among others.
