In the Sweet 16 win over the Louisville Cardinals, Kentucky sophomore big man Willie Cauley-Stein went down with an ankle injury and missed the rest of the tremendous upset. Following that win, head coach John Calipari said that Cauley-Stein would be listed as “doubtful” for the Elite 8 match up with the Michigan Wolverines on Sunday.

Well, judging by the way he arrived to the arena in Memphis on Sunday, he’s a little more than doubtful, as you can see by the crutches that he arrived to the arena on.

While it wasn’t expected that he would play anyway, seeing this image kind of makes the reality set in for the few Wildcats fans that still had hope he would be able to contribute in some way.

Against the Michigan Wolverines, they’re going to need all the help they can get down low, and now the brunt of that responsibility will fall on the shoulders of Julius Randle.
