MLB Rumors: Dodgers confirm Clayton Kershaw injury is back related, not arm

Los Angeles Dodgers fans can drop their panic level a bit after the team confirmed the injury which placed ace Clayton Kershaw on the disabled list is related to a back injury, not an arm.

General manager Ned Colletti appeared on Jim Bowden’s radio show Sunday morning and said there is no arm injury to Kershaw, but rather a simple back muscle injury.

No injury is good news and we known how often back issues can flare up, but if you could pick, you’d take a back injury over an arm injury all day, every day.

Initial reports hinted that it was nothing more than back tightness but the fact Kershaw was put on the disabled list lead some to believe the injury was more than the Dodgers were leading on.

Thankfully it doesn’t appear to be that way and Kershaw should be back on the mound in the near future, assuming there are no setbacks.
