The champion in the East Region of the 2014 NCAA Tournament will be decided on Sunday between the fourth-seeded Michigan State Spartans and the seventh-seeded UConn Huskies as the road to the Final Four begins to clear up.
Michigan State had a battle on Friday night with the top-seeded Virginia Cavaliers, but they were ultimately able to walk out with the two-point win. Tom Izzo has this team playing their best brand of basketball at just the right time, and it’s not stretch at all to think that the Spartans can walk away with the title.
On the other side, though, UConn is also playing great on the floor, and we found out in their win over Iowa State on Friday that Shabazz Napier doesn’t have to lead the way by himself for this team to be dominant.
