Nothing is certain in the NFL Draft this May, but while the predictions are hardly concrete we are getting an idea of what might happen when the clock starts to tick down on teams. One of the teams who know what they want are the San Francisco 49ers who are eyeing a wide receiver in the drag.t
While it’s known that the Niners want a receiver, it’s unclear who they will be targeting.
The question now becomes: Which type of receiver does the team need? Could they use A.) a speedy T.Y.-Hilton receiver who can put pressure on the back ends of defenses? Or do they go with B.) a tall, sturdy, Alshon Jeffery-type player who fits their tough-guy offense and who can be a threat in the red zone.
It’s likely that they won’t be drafting a receiver high in the draft but it’s clear they eventually will. We don’t know what will happen in the draft but the Niners may end up avoiding DeSean Jackson and drafting a possible replacement for Michael Crabtree instead.
