Report: Penn State’s Miles Dieffenbach suffers ‘serious knee injury’

The Penn State Nittany Lions football team is entering their first Spring under the direction of head coach James Franklin, but it isn’t all good news in Happy Valley. According to a report from 247Sports.com, the Nittany Lions could be without starting offensive lineman Miles Dieffenbach for an extended period of time.

Dieffenbach reportedly suffered a “serious knee injury” during a practice last Wednesday.

The full extent of the injury and any timeline for Dieffenbach’s return has yet to be announced, but the school is expected to make an announcement soon.

Dieffenbach has started 23 games over the past two seasons. All of his starts in 2013 came at left guard.
