The Seattle Mariners signed the top free agent of the offseason in second baseman Robinson Cano. They added a couple pitchers to their rotation and bullpen, and played pretty well during Cactus League play.
This team has the talent on their roster to make it to the playoffs, but first they need to start the regular season. Another piece that they added besides Cano, is long-time Milwaukee Brewer Corey Hart.
Hart has suffered a couple season ending knee injuries in his career and didn’t receive much interest over the Winter. I figured it would take him awhile to sign with a team, but the Seattle Mariners stepped up and brought him on board. Hart has hit the ball well when he isn’t nursing an injury, so if he’s able to stay healthy this year, he’ll provide this team with some great numbers across the board.
Now according to Greg Johns on Twitter, Hart will not be in the lineup tomorrow night against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
McClendon says Corey Hart won’t play tomorrow vs RH, but will DH next two games.

Johns also notes that he will fill the designated hitters slot in the lineup over the next two games. After they take on the Angels, they’ll travel to Oakland to take on the Athletics.
