Sunday afternoon, there was a bit of a shocker in Louisville Region of the 2014 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament as the fourth-seeded Maryland Terrapins upset the top-seeded Tennessee Lady Volunteers to advance to the regional final on Tuesday.
No one questioned the talent of this Maryland team, but there weren’t a lot that expected them to come out and shock the Lady Vols. However, someone forgot to tell that to Maryland’s Alyssa Thomas who dropped in 33 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the huge win for this program.
