You probably know Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins for his temperamental ways, but you’re soon likely to known him as an R&B crooner.

Yep, the former Kentucky Wildcats star is set to release his own album entitled Misunderstood under the moniker ‘Boogie Smooth’.

This all sounds like an elaborate joke, right? Well, maybe it is – after all, we’re just hours away from April Fool’s. But Cousins has certainly went the extra mile if he is attempting to play an elaborate joke on everybody, including having guest appearances on his album from Rick Ross and Chance the Rapper.

Cousins’ website even features the upcoming EP.

So is it legit? That’s still pretty hard to tell. Both Chance and Ross have been seen at Sacramento Kings games and spending time with Cousins, so the features seem legit and Cousins has been known to drop a tune or two at Sacramento Kings media days of years gone by. But an actual album? Sounds more April Fool’s than anything.

Either way, we’re intrigued.
