The Los Angeles Clippers have been the beneficiaries of a massive season from forward Blake Griffin in 2013-2014, and after a brief hiatus, it appears that the power forward could return to the floor when the team takes on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.

Mark Remme reports that Griffin is a game time decision for the Clippers in Minnesota, and if he can go, the 25-year-old forward will avoid missing a game despite diagnosed back spasms. Griffin left LA’s win over Houston over the weekend as a result of that back issue, and it was widely expected that he would sit out here, but if anything, he’s a quick healer and this is another example.
Griffin is in the thick of the MVP “race”, meaning that he could finish 3rd behind LeBron James and Kevin Durant, and his 24-point, 10-rebound averages indicate a player who has made the leap to the NBA’s elite. The Clippers will undoubtedly be careful with his health moving forward, but if he can go at 100% against Kevin Love and company here, there would be no reason to keep him away.
