The Michigan State Spartans are still reeling from their devastating defeat in the Elite Eight this weekend and it’s all that seems to be not he mind of NBA prospect Gary Harris. While his season at Michigan State is over, the question now becomes is his career over as well?

Many believe that Harris will be joining the NBA this summer but he has yet to declare and is remaining mum not he subject following the big loss. While he would be a lottery pick if he entered the draft, there is a possibility he could return to Michigan State next year.

Per MLive.com:

"“You know it’s always tough to lose like that; it’s always in the back of your mind,” Harris replied to a throng of reporters crammed into the locker room inside Madison Square Garden. “This loss…the knife’s still in there right now. We’re still thinking about this loss.”"

A lot of factors will determine what Harris does, chief among them being the future of Tom Izzo. He could enter the NBA as well and take a head coaching job, something that would be incentive for Harris to leave Michigan State.

But there may be unfinished business for Harris and if he returns, it wouldn’t be the first time a potential top pick returned to school as we saw Marcus Smart go from top lottery pick back to Oklahoma State in 2013.
