Report: Dan Henderson fighting at UFC 175

Mixed martial arts legend Dan Henderson is coming off of a devastating knockout victory over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and it appears that he is preparing for a quick turnaround and return to the octagon. According to Erik Fontanez of MMA Weekly, Henderson will be fighting at UFC 175 in Las Vegas against a yet to be determined opponent.

UFC 175 takes place on Fourth of July Weekend, which is when the UFC is hosting International Fight Week and the always enjoyable UFC Fan Expo.

Henderson is currently ranked No. 6 in the light heavyweight division, so there are only a handful of opponents that would make sense. One intriguing option would be Henderson vs. Daniel Cormier, which would put the winner in line to get one of the next title shots at 205 pounds.

UFC 175 will be held at the Mandalay Events Center, with a middleweight title fight between Chris Weidman and Lyoto Machida serving as the main event.
