Updated 2014 NCAA Women’s Tournament bracket: Notre Dame advances to Final Four

The Final Four picture for the 2014 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament is starting to get clear as we have our first entrant, and it’s none other than the top-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

On Monday night, the Irish were able to hold off a valiant effort from Odyssey Sims and the second-seeded Baylor Bears to advance on and keep their national championship hopes firmly alive.

Notre Dame is considered by many to be the team that has the best chance in this entire field to knock off the UConn Huskies, and it looks like we may eventually be headed for that showdown.

Later on this evening, those UConn Huskies will be in action as they take on the Texas A&M Aggies, officially setting half of the Final Four when all is said and done.
