After NCAA Women’s Tournament Elite 8 action on Monday night, half of the Final Four is now set as the UConn Lady Huskies and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have made their way into the fold.

In the early game on Monday night, Notre Dame made rather easy work of the Baylor Bears, punching their ticket to the Final Four, as most expected.

Something else that everyone knew was going to happen was the UConn Huskies defeating the Texas A&M Aggies, which they ultimately did, but it wasn’t as easy as everyone expected. The Aggies made a surge early in the second half, but Geno Auriemma’s girls ended up pulling away down the stretch and keeping that undefeated campaign alive.
