2014 Masters betting odds: Rory McIlroy lands as favorite

The Masters will be held in just over a week, which means it is time for the folks in Las Vegas to start observing the field to determine the betting odds for the field. In their latest installment of the odds, it was Rory McIlroy that was the narrow favorite.

Of course, with news today that Tiger Woods will not participate in the tournament, the odds will need to be adjusted.

Woods was listed as the second most likely player to bring home the title, so McIlroy’s lead over the field may only increase as soon as the odds are updated.

So are you telling us that Dustin Johnson, who shot 80 Thursday, Patrick Reed, Lee Weswtood, Keegan Bradly, Jordan Speith and Sergio Garcia deserve a look , but the former Masters winner, ex-US Open champion and last years Master’s runner up doesnt? Gimme Cabrera at 45 to one or more all day over most of the guys on this list. If he’s in it, he wont spit out the bit.
