Although the Baltimore Ravens recently made some noise with the signing of Steve Smith to help in the passing game, the Ravens still need a solid, physical pass-catching threat to replace Anquan Boldin, and they may be looking toward the draft to fill that need as the team will have a private workout with Florida State wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin on Tuesday, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Benjamin had good workout at both the NFL Scouting Combine and the Florida State Pro Day, and would bring sort of the similar dynamic to the offense that Boldin did, or so head coach John Harbaugh and the Ravens would hope.

At 6-5 and 240-pounds, he provides a nice outlet option for quarterback Joe Flacco when things break down a little bit, and would take some of the focus off of the newly-acquired Smith, as well as the other receivers, Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones.

It’s expected that Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans will be the first two wide receivers off the board come May, so there is a possibility that Benjamin could be sitting there for the Ravens’ taking when they are up at 17.
