New Clip from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Shows Tensions Between Agents Ward and Triplett (Video)

Tonight, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns from what felt like another forever-long break with a brand new episode. The S.H.I.E.L.D. team is hot on the heels of the Clairvoyant, and things are definitely going to get more intense as the chase kicks into high gear. In the latest clip from the episode, we watch as the tensions between Agents Grant Ward and Antoine Triplett seem to kick it up a notch.

The two of them are at the Milton Keynes Prison in the United Kingdom chasing down a lead. In an effort to make conversation, Agent Triplett begins to talk to Ward about his family and his background. I think it is safe to say that Ward is not really interested in making friends. Personally, I think it is kind of silly that Ward almost seems intimidated by Agent Triplett.

As most of you know, Ward likes to push people away in an effort to protect himself from having any real emotion. This is understandable considering the line of work they are in, but sometimes it overreaches a little bit. As the both of them were both at one time the right hand man of Agent Garrett, it seems as if there is some sort of awkward tension between the two of them. This is something that the both of them are going to have to get over as they continue to pursue the Clairvoyant. Unfortunately, this is something that he could use against the two Agents.

Both of them have different ways of approaching their move on the Clairvoyant. Ward reminds Triplett that they are there to take the Clairvoyant in, not out; however, Triplett makes a fair point to Ward. What would Ward have thought in the event that Skye had not made it? Would he feel the same as Triplett, who actually did lose his partner? Fortunately, that is something, at least for the time being, that we do not have to find out.

Here is a look at the latest clip from the upcoming episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
