The Miami Dolphins inked Knowshown Moreno to a deal that will make him their starting running back and they have a flew of backs behind him, but that hasn’t quenched the Dolphins thirst for more running back power. According to The Miami Herald, the Dolphins are looking at drafting a running back this May.
Despite the fact the Dolphins just signed Knowshon Moreno, despite the fact they like Lamar Miller, I’m told the personnel department would still like to add one more running back — likely somewhere between the fourth-fifth rounds — to add juice and get more talent in the backfield.
A private workout with Towson standout Terrance West has seemingly tipped the Dolphins’ hand and it has cast doubt over the backs on the roster.
When Moreno signed, it was clear that not all of the backs on the roster now would be when the season starts. Lamar Miller seems to be safe and if a back is drafted it’s assumed he’d be safe as well. That’s bad news for former starter Daniel Thomas who was in danger of getting cut thanks to the Moreno signing and is in even more danger with this latest news.
