Multiple teams have expressed interest in free agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson, but the eccentric wideout is still without a contract as he weighs his options.

The San Francisco 49ers have been one team linked to Jackson, but their level of interest has been unknown as reports seem to vary on if the 49ers would honestly consider such a move.

Consider it they might as Adam Schefter of ESPN says the 49ers are a team to watch in the DeSean Jackson sweepstakes.

Redskins and DeSean Jackson still haven’t discussed contract. Team to watch: SF. 49ers have “real but guarded” interest in DJax, per source

Jackson would give San Francisco a much needed deep threat alongside Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin and make an already elite offense better.

Of course, such a move would likely come down to money and the 49ers still need to worry about completing a contract extension with quarterback Colin Kaepernick,.

Still, it sounds as if the 49ers could very well find themselves in the mix for Jackson if the money is right.
