Rafael Davis replaces Vinny Magalhaes in Titan FC 28 main event

UFC veteran Vinny Magalhaes was set to compete in a jiu jitsu match at Metamoris 3 last weekend, but he was forced to withdraw at the last minute due to a staph infection. Magalhaes was also set to fight in the main event of Titan FC 28 on April 25, but he will not be healthy enough to enter the cage.

With the staph infection, Magalhaes was forced to withdraw from scheduled bout against fellow UFC vet Jason Brilz.

To replace Magalhaes, Titan FC has signed Bellator veteran Raphael Davis (13-2). Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson confirmed the news that Davis signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion to Bloody Elbow.

Davis is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. He also holds a previous win over Magalhaes back in 2008.

With the changes to the April 25 fight card, which will take place at an undisclosed location and venue, here is the latest fight card:

  • Rafael Davis vs. Jason Brilz
  • Dave Herman vs. Kalib Starnes
  • Daniel Roberts vs. Brock Jardine
  • Todd Moore vs. Ricky Legere
  • William Joplin vs. Walel Watson
  • Gleristone Santos vs. Robert Washington
  • Pedro Nobre vs. Dan O’Connor
