Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson met with the Washington Redskins on Monday. Aside from hanging out with rapper Wale, things went pretty well and the two sides have made progress towards a deal.

From the Washington Post:

"The Washington Redskins and wide receiver DeSean Jackson have made progress towards a deal, but the two sides have yet to finalize the agreement, two people with knowledge of the situation said. . .One person, speaking on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to comment on the matter, said Tuesday morning that the sides were believed to be “getting close.” But as of that time, Jackson had yet to sign a contract, a second person said."

One thing can be for certain, he looked like he was having fun with Wale and cornerback DeAngelo Hall. However, if Jackson wants a large pay day he’ll probably have to look elsewhere. The Oakland Raiders have more cap space than the Redskins and could match or exceed any offer the Redskins had.

That is of course unless Jackson can get a deal from the Redskins that is back-loaded.
