Russell Wilson to throw out first pitch at Rangers game

After spending a couple of days being the center of all media attention during Spring Training, Russell Wilson will throw out the ceremonial first pitch of a Texas Rangers game.

The ceremony was announced by Rangers Executive VP of Communications John Blake and is scheduled for the Wednesday April 2nd game against the Phillies.

Wilson was taken in the minor-league portion of the Rule 5 draft over the winter for $12,000. While the Rangers do not expect the Super Bowl winning quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks to abandon his football career, they did bring him into camp to talk to some of the younger players in camp, including several minor leaguers.
