Tiger Woods announced on Tuesday that he will not be participating in the 2014 Masters due to back surgery, but that will not stop the folks at Nike from selling the gear that he would have been wearing when he took the course at Augusta National Golf Club.
Of course, not having Tiger display the gear on television will hurt the sales and Dennis Boudreau, owner of DiscountGolfWorld.com, opened up about the development to Darren Rovell of ESPN.

“Tiger being out will have a major impact for us,” said Boudreau. “People buy what they see on TV, and with the Tiger stuff, they don’t buy just one. They buy four or five shirts. If they don’t see it, they can’t fall in love with it.
“If he had played in the Masters, we expected to sell out of everything by the time the tournament teed off.”

This year will be the first Masters that Woods has missed since he started playing in 1995.
