2014 NFL Free Agency: Miami Dolphins sign Jason Fox

On Wednesday morning, a report surfaced that the Miami Dolphins were hosting offensive tackle Jason Fox.

Fox is rather inexperienced, but the Dolphins need depth along the offensive line any way they can find.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Dolphins and Fox have now agreed to a one-year deal.

Adam Beasley of The Miami Herald has the details of the contract.

Fox was originally drafted with the 128th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. Fox left the state of Texas out of high school to sign with the Miami Hurricanes, making this a homecoming of sorts for the 6’6, 314-pounder.

Fox was named the Lions’ starting right tackle in 2013, but was slowed by injuries. At just 25 years old, the Dolphins aren’t taking much of a risk in signing Fox.

We need alittle depth on the OLine… That’s all he his… Injuries though his whole NFL career… BUT.. He played 47 games in College (Miami).. AND he’s young.. So, it’s a low risk, high reward situation…
