Although many thought 4-star offensive guard A.J.Harris was a lock to stay close to home and play for the Kansas State Wildcats or, if he did leave the state of Kansas, it would be to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Harris gave his pledge to the Missouri Tigers on Tuesday.

The 6’4, 290-pound Harris attends Blue Valley High School in Stilwell, Kansas.
“He’s got a lot of great options, but I think Mizzou has been up there towards the top the whole time,” Blue Valley coach Eric Driskell told Tod Palmer of The Kansas City Star.
Harris is ranked as the 19th best offensive guard prospect, the second best overall prospect in the state of Kansas and the 318th best overall prospect, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Harris chose the Tigers over offers from Arkansas Razorbacks, Illinois Illini, Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas Jayhawks, among many others.
