Manchester United's Ashley Young and Michael Carrick excited for return leg against Bayern Munich

Manchester United managed to get a draw against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. That has the United squad feeling strong about their chances in the second leg at the Allianz in Munich.

“I can’t wait to go to there. Everybody wrote us off before the game but we have given ourselves a massive chance,” Young said, via Sky Sports.

“I think everyone would have taken that result before a ball was kicked. It was a great team performance and we look forward to the second leg now – it sets us up nicely for that game.”

While you might be thinking they’re getting ahead of themselves, United’s Michael Carrick says they aren’t.

“We are not getting carried away – the task ahead of us is tough,” he said. “We will have to be right at our best to get the right result but we still believe we have a chance. We can go over there and be really positive.”
