NBA Rumors: Tim Duncan has more 50-win seasons than 26 teams

Depending on who you ask, this may or may not be Tim Duncan‘s final NBA season. It doesn’t even sound as if Duncan himself has come to a decision on that, but needless to say, Duncan has anchored an increadible career – a career that most NBA franchises would like to experience.

What does that mean exactly? Well, take this into account. During Duncan’s 17-year career, he’s been on a 50-win team 16 times. That’s more than 26 NBA teams have accomplished in their franchise history.

In addition to that, Duncan has more 50-win seasons under his belt than the New York Knicks who have thirteen 50-win seasons in 68 seasons, more than the Houston Rockets who’ve amassed nine 50-win seasons in their 47 seasons and more than the Golden State Warriors who’ve put up four 50-win campaigns in 68 seasons.

Needless to say, Duncan’s career isn’t only impressive regarding his own statistics, but on a team level – it might be something we’ll never witness again.

Greatness defined, to say the least.
