Penn State Football: James Franklin says no uniform changes are in the plans

James Franklin is getting set to ring in a new era for Penn State football in 2014. When he was hired following the departure of Bill O’Brien, everyone knew that some changes would be coming to the program, in a positive way.

But if there is one thing that we know about the Penn State Football community, you never, ever ask about alterations to the uniforms, and Franklin seems to know that, and understand it well.

When asked recently by the Big Ten Network whether or not there will be any changes made to the classic Blue and White attire, he made it abundantly clear that the thought had never crossed his mind.

“Are you trying to get me killed? Is that what you’re trying to do? Yeah, that ain’t happening around here,” Franklin said when asked about uniform alterations. “That’s not going to happen around here.”

While you will see some changes in philosophies on the field, having grown up a Penn State fan, Franklin is smart enough to know never to touch the uniforms, which he has now made pretty obvious.
