The Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions and as good as their defense was, quarterback Russell Wilson helped manage well enough under center to make sure the offense didn’t get in the way and was an asset to the defense rather than a detriment, which is so often the case.
Thanks to his success, Wilson has become a star and his baseball past has become more and more known. It became even more well known when he was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the Rule 5 Draft this year. While he attended Spring Training, Wilson won’t be playing for the Rangers in 2014 but he still sat down to talk about his experience during the ESPN broadcast of tonight’s Rangers game.
Wilson playing baseball was a bit of a possibility but it appears he’s wisely settled on playing football and football only. Rangers fans may be bummed out by this but greener pastures lie in Seattle and Seahawks fans are very pleased with Wilson’s decision.
