With Tuesday being April Fool’s Day, the pranks were out in full force, especially in the sports world, but none may have done it better than new Washington Huskies head coach Chris Petersen.
Petersen decided to surprise his players with some terribly awful new uniforms that he had convinced them they would wear this upcoming season to honor the university, and the players’ initial reaction was pretty fun to watch.
Of course, they were not real, as Petersen eventually revealed, but it’s nice to see him building this kind of rapport with his new team.
Petersen was hired away from Boise State this offseason, something no one thought could ever be done, after Steve Sarkisian left for USC.
But with a good-humored coach like this, I think the players are setting in rather well with him.
