The Arizona Diamondbacks were not overly pleased when the Los Angeles Dodgers decided to celebrate their National League West championship in the right field pool at Chase Field last season.

The Dodgers say they didn’t mean anything by it, but it’s become a sore subject around the NL West – especially in Arizona where they’ve seemingly took the celebration to heart.

That was evidenced by fans in the pool area as the Diamondbacks hosted the San Francisco Giants on Thursday afternoon, a pool area which was protected by merman and a ‘no Dodgers’ sign reading ‘protect this pool’.

Clearly, the young lady bending over is in a mermaid costume but I’m not sure what the two next to her are dressed as. Then again, I have a feeling most didn’t even notice the two standing next to her.

Regardless, it’s a pretty assuming set of costumes and one that should find themselves going viral during the highlight shows.

And hey – it was more enjoyable than the ten minute bee delay in the first inning.
