Darnell Dockett is not a fan of the new Florida State logo

The Florida State Seminoles are apparently getting a new logo and their fans are none too pleased with how it looks. It’s not that the Seminoles are as historic a program as Alabama, Notre Dame or others but their logo has seen some pretty historic moments and it’s a major part of the Florida State culture.

So naturally people are railing against the logo change and that ranges from random fans to television pundits and especially former players. Darnell Dockett is one of those former players and he’s a few steps fort of picking up a bullhorn to lead a protest in Tallahassee.

We should all be aware that change happens and it’s an inevitable part of life but try changing a fan bases logo and it’s as though you’re pillaging their very existence. We’ve seen logos change in professional sports and they even seem to change weekly in college football, but the Noles have tradition behind their logo and while the new logo has yet to be confirmed, the backlash has been immediate and universal.
